This Thursday night (March 30th) sees MYA’s Noise team take over one of Liverpool’s top music venues as part of Youth Music’s national Give A Gig Week.
The event at Seel Street’s Arts Club will showcase the best new talent coming through the project, including Liverpool grime star C-Two, contemporary English blues band Filthy Janes, and Bootle-based singer-songwriter Charlotte Jones.
Headliner C-Two has recently had radio airplay on BBC 1xtra and has also won a prestigious place on BBC 1xtra’s playlist panel, thanks to MYA’s Youth Music funded Noise project.
Project coordinator Garth Jones says: “The nature of working with young musicians is that they grow up and move on. The worry sometimes is who will take their place.
“Thankfully, in Merseyside there is never a problem finding new musical talent – there’s just something in the water.
“From rock to grime, with loads in between, this event gives Merseyside’s most promising new artists a chance to steal the stage at one of Liverpool’s best music venues.”
Tickets cost £4, with half the proceeds going to Youth Music and half going to Noise.
