Who are we?

We are the Noise Project

The Noise Project is about?

Noise is about music. We offer music sessions beneath the surface, in our basement-recording studio. We listen, ask us for something and we can usually deliver as long as it’s something to do with music, or the way you’re feeling about stuff. We can help you express yourself in many ways. Have you ever thought about addressing your emotions through music? It works - trust our experience. You might just want to learn an instrument, make a CD or record a demo, you may want vocal coaching or you might be someone with an idea but have no avenue to pursue your goals and aspirations around music, tell us what they are and we will assist you on your musical journey ...

Is this project for you?

Yes if you are between the age of 7-25, live in Liverpool, you like music, or you are not in education, employment or training, or you are a looked after child.

History of Noise

Noise grew out of expressed needs of children and young people who wanted to develop themselves musically in order to pursue their goals, ideas and aspirations. Children and young people told us they wanted to be able to say things through music, develop their ‘self expression’ as well as wanting a dedicated music programme with access to a skills base and technology. As a result we have concluded that the musicality process supports young people in specific aspects of their lives, children and young people demonstrate their learning and self-reflection making informed decisions and choices. We have helped in resolving many issues including; bullying, sexual orientation fears, creative isolation, fear, anger and confusion to name but a few ...

Do you do collaborative work?

Yes, as a result of collaborative working with SHELTER, a resource pack was produced which illustrates life within the care system addressed through music (this is available on CD)
