Disability Equality Extended Team - UNITE Project

Who are we?

The UNITE project works throughout Liverpool, Sefton, and Knowsley and facilitates the formation of a series of inclusive playgroups that will work across both the voluntary sector and statutory services. The project provides a holistic approach in delivering inclusive play provisions that build on the philosophy of inclusion and therefore breakdown existing barriers that may be in communities.

The programmes consist of a 12 week play project, including skills based and practical workshops, designed to improve the psychological, physical and social wellbeing of disabled children and young people and on completion the opportunity for participants to attend a weekend residential or day breaks to cement their friendship and evaluate the programme.
