The Choices Project works throughout Knowsley and facilitates the formation of a series of inclusive playgroups. The project provides a holistic approach in delivering inclusive play provisions that build on the philosophy of inclusion and therefore breakdown existing barriers that may be in communities.
The programmes consist of a 12 week play project, including skills based and practical workshops, designed to improve the psychological, physical and social wellbeing of disabled children and young people and on completion the opportunity for participants to attend a weekend residential or day breaks to cement their friendship and evaluate the programme.
The project is open to all young people aged between 7 and 19.
The project is based at The Door Merseyside Youth Association Ltd, but our projects are delivered throughout youth provisions across Knowsley.
The aim of this project is to provide new and exciting ways in which disabled children and young people can access inclusive play and youth provisions in Knowsley.
