Working with others is a key life skill. Whether you want to learn about issues or increase your knowledge and skills, MYA projects can offer opportunities to work with other learn communication and cooperation skills and become a team player.
Everyone needs support and help at different times in their lives. We provide 1 to 1 mentoring on some of our projects, to provide a personalised pathway to help you address barriers and build your skills and confidence.
Young people know how hard it can be to be a child or young person. Equipping young people with skills to help their peers can have a positive impact on the mentor and the mentee.
Merseyside has football at its heart and MYA provides opportunities for children and young people to play for fun or to develop their skills like Wayne Rooney, Steve McManaman and Billy Liddell did on MYA’s playing fields.
Sport can be a lifelong passion, a way to keep fit, stay healthy and keep motivated. It helps team skills, communication and cooperation. If you want to play to have fun or get better at your chosen sport, we can help.
Spending a couple of nights away from home, undertaking activities which challenge and excite you is fantastic way to develop confidence, learn new skills and become more independent.
Sometimes it’s hard to talk to friends and family about the issues you are worried about. Speaking to some who has the skills to support you in finding solutions can make a real difference in your ability to cope with whatever life throws at you.
Whether it’s about sex, drugs, or rock n roll or getting a job, a flat or a college place our staff can give you up to date information and advice to help you make the right decisions for you.
Enabling young people to have a voice in how their services are planned and delivered is central to MYA’s ethos and mission. We have Youth Champions and Youth Fora to influence our own and external services to ensure they meet your needs.
