Merseyside Youth Association
Creating positive and lasting change in the lives of Merseyside's young people
We are the only Youth Arts Centre in Sefton. We use performing and creative arts as a tool for youth work including personal, social and emotional wellbeing and development.
Young people are at the centre of our practice and we deliver in an empowering, energetic way.
We operate from a purpose built venue which includes 150 seated performance space, music studio, rehearsal space, green room and workshop space.
SPACE are the proud winners of The National lottery Awards “Best Arts project 2009”.
To build local relationships, using creative initiatives to develop community cohesion
To deliver creative and performance opportunities for young people.
To provide fully inclusive services that are young person centred.
Our projects are for young people age 13-19 years, however sometime we do have projects that work with other age groups. Please contact the team for more information on 0151 944 1509.
Young people have used the experiences they have achieved whilst being at the SPACE project to help them develop with confidence, motivation, self expression, learn new skills and open gateways into the performing arts industry.
Through our work young people enhance their communication skills, team work, relationships, mental health and emotional wellbeing, creativity and broaden there knowledge of life skills and achievements.
