There are 7 projects within this extended team. These projects aim to support the needs of those who are vulnerable and at risk of social exclusion (e.g. ‘Looked After Children’, those who are not in employment, in education or training (NEET) and those who have become socially excluded and vulnerable to ‘crime’).
408 For Young People offers advices and information around a wide range of issues including benefits advice, housing advice and education and employment advice.
Solutions Counselling aims to help you to clarify and understand your problems. In a private setting and in confidence, you will be able to talk freely and openly about the things that are causing you concern.
First base is a supported housing scheme for young people aged 16 to 25 who are looking for their own house or flat, in the Sefton area, and who need some additional support for the first 6 months to a maximum of two years.
The project aims to address the prevention of crime and anti-social behavior issues in children and young people.
This project provides year ten and eleven young people who are Looked After by Liverpool Local Authority opportunities to study towards a keys stage four qualifications in Maths and English.
U-plan is aimed at young people aged 8-19 who are missing from education. This includes young people not registered in school, those who have truanted in the past 12 months, those who are permanently excluded from school, asylum seekers or refugees and those who are sick or in hospital.
N:GAGE is a personal development programme for N.E.E.T.. (not in education, employment or training) young people in Liverpool.
The Transient Youth Work Project works with young people through a variety of projects.
